Unmountable Boot Volume - XP failure to boot BSOD

Boot.ini file error, it is usually fixable.
    Boot from your Windows XP installation disk
    Select "R" for the Repair option
    At command the prompt, type chkdsk /p <enter>.
    When that action has completed, type: fixboot <enter> then Y when you get the prompt.
    Now type exit <enter>
    Your system should now boot to Windows XP.

If that doesn't do the job, reboot to the CD once more, type R, then type: chkdsk /r <enter>
